Blocks and modules: Drupal outside Canvas
Drupal node · Without CanvasA module route and a configurable block arrive through CE API and render with React.
A compatible PHP route
The custom ntt_lupus_examples module returns a CustomElement at /demo/module-example. It is not a node or Canvas page. The route declares its format and requires content access.
A block placed in Drupal
lupus_decoupled_block includes visible blocks by region in blocks. The ntt_delivery_note example has configurable ES/EN messages and appears only on the demonstration route.
What the frontend does
The adapter validates blocks and presents its content region with the same CeRenderer. Header and navigation remain in the Next.js shell; we do not duplicate every Drupal theme region.
Not magically compatible
A module needs supported CE output or explicit integration. Business services, permissions, widgets and JavaScript libraries require analysis. The example works but does not query a real operational system.
